LOGO Denotation


Nomenclatur: The actual origin of the name Noise is Silence is Noise was technically inspired by Karlheinz Stockhausen, Steve Reich´s "Come out to show them" and Music Concréte for the "emancipation of noise".
But the name was poetically formed from two quotes of one of England´s
greatest poets -William Shakespear:

The first one:

" a rose is a rose (...)"

the second, more important one is the last sentence of the famous play Hamlet:
"(...) and the rest is silence.".

That N(S)N name was inspired by that quote from Ludwig Wittgenstein is just a rumor .

Noise and Silence are the same in a way that Silence has no dedicated information or signal to decipher. Noise has all the information / signals at once but none can be deciphered because one information is too much correlated to the remaining amount of information as to be identified as a seperate signal. But neither notion defies the fact they carry some kind of meaningfulness. As one is defined as the opposite of the other, there is the phenomena that oscillates between these two extremes. This is the information notion we can identify - the signal.

Derivation of Concept and Design

Noise morphs into Silence. Noise and Silence only differ by their height in amplitude, the inherent energy. The spherical Gauss-noise, emitted by the summ of all radiosity is the silence and the energie surrounding us. By using a common high frequency-amplifier, build into each and every TV or Radio, the silence we expirience with our natural senses, is turned into white noise. Noise that harmonically samples the whole bandwith of possible frequencies.

Therefor technology has now expanded our human senses and the expirience. Silence in nature is deductable from the missing amplification of noise. We notice a gap between what man can expirience and technology can measure. Silence, meaning digital NULL, can only be achieved in a synthetic way. In natural space as in digital (synthetic-VR) space two identical noises can be eliminated when one of the waveforms is 180 DEG phaseinverted. They then silence each other out. Within the analog space of course ther will be some leftover noise, because in the real World there simply are no identical noises. This does not apply for the digital space, though. But there is notice to be marked that the digital space is only a synthetic appearance in the analog space.

The difference can be seen in how the two spaces recognize their contents. The digial space only recognizes specific stimulation that cross a defined inition barrier which occurre in defined time intervals. This quantification in AMPLITUDE and QUANTITY results in the fact that all other amplitudes and frequencies which are not defined in this sampling of ocurrencies are simply left out and become ignored. This therefor results in a problem of recognition established by the split- or merging area of the digital and the analog Space: digital NULL is a undefined area of a function graph of a mathematical term characterized mostly as ( ).

With digital NULL only basic mathmatic operations can be used without limit, like addition or substraction, and have no impact in result or application. Even the next higher math operations lead to identical results on multiplication or singularities (undefinables) on division. Differential and Integral terms do the same. The NULL-appearance must be avoided by paradigmatic definitions.

Thus the singularity forms the state where everything can happen. This is the place in which the primitivity of mathematics, the purest of all sciencies is revealed. This concludes that an exclude definition for an functions is nothing less than a bann-spell to protect against the UNknown the UNthinkable. This leaves this two models of an definable near-silence or an undefinable absolute-silence.

Silence and Noise on the other hand do have no content, they are just oppositions from each other. The digital space has no information and analog-Gauss has no information. Only the perpetual shift between the two poles, Noise and Silence contains information. It´s called the SIGNAL. Every Signal shifts between these two extremities with its amplitude and frequency/quantity. This is the concept of the LOGO of N(S)N. But there are still some sematics that implicate even more possibilties of interpretation.

 

Noise as technical phenomena

the industrial noise, which man creaties by his technological invenions gave gave birth to a specific style of music, is the repetitiv (endless) sequencing (storing of order) of noise by mechanical operation flow. Man is the ãsilent initiatorÒ of the noising machine which by itself produces an ãsilent productÒ. Silence - noise - silence. The noise created here is of cause result of an technological conception, but this does not affect the quality of the functional machines` or limit it. It«s arbitrary and therfor acoustic wate. The impressions it imposes are UNCODED which means the technical noise is not supposed to provoke feeling and associations in humans.

 

Noise as social phenomena

Another way of interpreting noise phenomena is the ãinner noiseÒ, which is an expression of cognitive acts. In industrialized information/disinformation societies an overload of negative noise initiated by an overdose of social motivated noise is more possible than ever. When this happens ideas and impressions can not be experienced and reflected any more and sleep can not provode an regernation phase any more. This information noise is caused by ãnoisyÒ (articulating) people, who use ãsilent technologyÒ only invented to make ãnoiseÒ. Noise - Silence -noise. Contrary to the mechanical noise the information noise flow is absolutly affected by the quality of the noise output, and directly defines the useability of the machine or technology. Because here the emitting of multiple articulations is CODED which means it is made to absulutly provoke feelings and associations, to leave psychological imprints.

f(intuition)=science

Noise is Silence is Noise derives its theory from the diametrical notions of science and intuition, where it is defined that science is a function of intuition or emotion, both taken as "a means of judgemant by unretraceable decisions", like: f(intuition)=science.
Because science, seen as methodically retrieved or recieved knowledge, expieriences its greatest advances by not being methodical, by breaking the rule, by random discoveries and unpredicted test results, for short, chaotic interferences, which are leading the intuitive way to overcome the barriers of established scientific paradigms. Thus intuition influences science and new rules for falsification, even if this intuitive findings sometimes may be based on pure resignation and helplessness.
But also the other way around does matter. All knowledge achieved tends to be incorporated in a persons mind not accessable by the human active consciousness, to be forgotten, moved or linked to the subconsciousness, where it is stored for passive access, pure memorized facts become understanding. Understanding becomes wisdom.
Associations or stimulations are the key to revive an experience these information.

So what is the result of f(intuition)=science when making connection between the methodical and the chaotic?

It concludes, if following the chaos theory: when human mankind lives in an all-and-only chaotic universe then the methodic must be included in it, like a fragment in the whole. As the chaotic is as unretraceable as intiution one may also conclude that science is also one fragment of intuition and this is where we begun: science is the variable, the arbitrary and intuition the term, or lets say the method of processing.
So, what we do have now is: the rule is arbitrary by conclusion. And this means: it is a paradox, because the term of inutition is unknown, it is impossible to predict its meaning for science but it comes clear how intuition is important for science as the methodic is extracted from the chaotic.
